“Is this the best sports bra ever?”
Forme Power Bra
It is amazing how many conversations I’ve had over the past year or so regarding sports bras or posture correctors, for both women and men actually. Specifically this particular one. I came across this news article from NBCnews reviewing this particular sports bra and doing a very good job with it, so good in fact, I thought i would share.
So apparently, this posture-corrector sports bra is the new holy grail of back support. And you know what? It might just live up to the hype. (Yes, shocker, I’m impressed.) Let me break down why I’m almost ready to crown it as “best in show,” and where I’m keeping my skeptic hat on:
Why this bra might actually be the real deal:
It’s doing more than just lifting — it’s actively pulling your shoulders back, aligning your spine, engaging your scapula (i.e. doing the heavy lifting your bad posture shoulders refused to do).
The design includes tension bands or “neurobands” (or comparable tech) that give you subtle feedback — you feel it, you correct yourself. It’s like having a posture drill sergeant built into your bra.
It doesn’t look like a medieval brace. The cut, seams, and materials are polished enough to wear over or under your workout gear without looking like an experiment gone wrong.
Bonus: it might actually make neck/upper back fatigue less of a daily battle (if it lives up to the claims).
My caveats (because yes, I have standards):
It has to fit — bad sizing means you get pinched ribs or zero benefit, and quite possible headaches.
If the tension’s too intense or constant, expect some fatigue in muscles not used to being “corrected” all day, thus actually weeking the stabilizers.
This does not replace posture-strengthening exercises. Think of it as a cheat code, not the whole game.
And last but definetely not least, it’s freaking expensive!
So yeah — this could be the best posture-corrector bra so far, especially if you want something that helps without making you look like a walking skeleton. But full disclosure: I’ll reserve final judgment until more of my patients put one on, live in it, and see whether their slouch reflex gets bored and gives up.
So in the end — this bra might actually have your back… literally!
Remember, I’ve always got your back!"
